Triolis, the domain name for my website, means—or should mean—little to the larger world. Rather, it is a word whose semantic representations are personal; whether noun, verb, or interjection I will not say (your only hint: the derivations are neither religious nor musical). Of course, there is the Latin-ish root, which may seem to invite interpretation of various kinds. Go ahead, if you wish. You will surely not, in this way, make my day or your own, though you just might amuse one or both of us. I ask you to remember only that this game is not about life, death, and eternity. Or is it?
The website’s content is divided into business and personal arenas. I do this for demarcational clarity only, not because I am particularly adept at or conscientious about compartmentalizing them. Howbeit, it is true that I make my living (mostly) through technical skills, doing business as Location Recording, attending to the audio interests of individuals and organizations who require ultra-high quality documentation of acoustic events. The associated pages discuss the services I offer, selected equipment and previous projects, and typical clientele. The personal side is more free-form and speaks to interests that I do not (generally) indulge in for blatant commercial reasons. A brief bio serves both.
